doodle chain game...

This little 4 panel brain fart popped out after a day of work. ~Arna

I thought it might make a good jumping off point, so here's an invitation to anyone who wants to riff on this theme:

Just leave us a comment here to let us know you've posted your 'chain doodle', and we'll link to your version of “A Boy and His Bug” in this post. I don't care if it's a sequential, but that would be fun. Can't wait to see your images!

Hi Brad,

Glad you like him!

This is plain old Staedler MARS graphic duo brush-marker(it's water based and that's why I like it-no fumes!) FYI: I'm using wide screen post-it stickies for a series board, so that's what I drew these on.

Afterwards I tweeked it digitally: the marker was originally a blue-grey. I added the frame colour in Photoshop and painted the bug with Sketchbook Pro.

Brad, no need to match this look...tho I'm curious to see what you have in mind!! Cheers, ~Arna

Hey Brad, Alias Sketchbook Pro is a good light drawing program with great line quality and some clever features , like a toggle that allows you to advance from one image to then next.

Quite a few board artists are using this software.

Try it, you'll probably like it. no need to match a look, though...the point was just to have a bit of silly fun with the "Boy And His Bug" idea...

Ned, Well, thanks sir. :)

Hey Dennis,

Thanks.

PS: I guess that makes me the jack of none.

So cute! I love the title "a boy and his bug". A misplaced love story. I always cry at the end when the boy has to shoot the bug because it got into a fight with a tick and now has rabies. Through love the boy becomes a man, and the bug becomes dead. Heartwarming!

Cheers,
Kris.

ps. Ever try to shoot a bug? Could be a very entertaining sequence.

Yeah that was my favourite movie when I was a kid too. Now you have me blubbering...

OKAY Mr. Smartiepants let's see that sequence! And I want gore I tell you. I want to see some gore. ;0

Arna!
I'm thinking about this...will toss it up when I get something down worthy of the challenge!
Cheers.

It was really a brain fart on my part Kris.
No need for 'worthyness'! Is it too trite to say 'just have fun with it"? And I understand we are all way too busy, so no worries. Really.
