I don't miss commuting, but I miss the opportunity to sketch en route. I didn't take the opportunity to do it enough when I was on the train. I only tried just the once while driving into Toronto as it was hard to control the line work with the steering wheel rotating back and forth wildly while trying to keep the car on the road. Also, the other vehicles swerving into the ditch to avoid me proved distracting. These ink ones are great. You've really caught the characters. Quick to work with?
really nice observational sketches doodlers. Glad to see your avatar. We're just about wrapped on toot&puddle. It was a pleasure to see your boards Arna.
Oh, and Arna... I can't vote next week, but its pretty exciting. I was working on Cloudy four years ago for the last election, and I wanted to vomit for a month after the village idiot won... It's looking good for a better outcome this time. I do wish I could vote... for all the propositions as well as the election. How do you guys like your new government? Same Harper, same minority, sounds like the same mandate. Oh well. Gotsa love the politics. Best wishes, KP.
Thanks for the kind words, Clive. These sketches were done pretty quickly. But they weren't done on the TTC or GO. The 'Red Rocket' is a coffee place on Queen East across from Eastend Gardens. Arna says 'hi!' Hi to Sheree-Lee!
Hi Craig. Thanks very much for the compliments! What did you do on T&P, BTW? FYI, I wrote several scripts. 8-)
Thanks to you, too, Kris! We are well. And you? You must be pretty pleased about the election! PHEW! We're kinda stuck with Harper for a while, but at least it's another minority government. DOUBLE PHEW!

Very nice sketch. I like the one of the older gentlemen at the top. : )
wonderful drawings! :)
Thanks, bsleven! Actually, the gentleman at the top wasn't that old. He was more...er, weathered? Anyway, a real character and fun to draw!
Thanks to you, too, Alina! Hope you're well! JVB

Great drawings John!
Be cool to see that kind of stuff in/for a story.
I just landed on your blog and I gotta say great stuff! I love the sketches, very nice!
Thanks for the kind words, Max! Guess I'd have to come up with a story first, though. ;-)
