I like that the flower almost fits the top of the guys head and that the pistil (I think that's what it's called) follows the same direction and curve of his nose.
Must have been a good phone call! I always find the time to drop by your Blog, reliably interesting and full of inspiring drawings. Your storyboards are great, thanks for sharing them.
I've always wondered why you don't write and illustrate your own children's books, it just seems like the perfect fit...your illustrations are dynamite!
Smook - I'm pretty sure that was a happy accident. Don't think I doodled the image while it was stuck to the ad, so the eventual convergence of lines 'just happened.'
Hi, Enzo! Thanks for dropping by as a'regular.' And, of course I remember you from the board class!
Thanks for visiting, Justin. Was that a 'Coolman' pun?
Sean - Yes, a great call...or a very LONG and BORING one! :)
Alina and Martin - Thanks!
Hi Max! Like the new look on your blog, too!
Steve - Thanks for the kind comment! A kid's book might happen yet, but I'm pretty busy writing for cartoons at the moment...
Mauricio - Thanks! We are both A-OK! But a little frazzled from work, alas...
Rehab - Thanks for confirming Mike's 'shot' at botanical designation! :)
Jason, Elliot and Paublo - Your kind words are much appreciated!
